NATIONAL SUNFLOWER DAY IS BLOOMIN' SUCCESS IN INTEL
June 21, 2006

This year National Sunflower Day was held on 9th June and several local volunteers visited the Intel campus to raise money for the Kildare Hospice. Once again, employees in Intel gave generously and over €2,000 was collected on the day.
Representatives set up three stands in the canteens covering the entire Leixlip campus. Items on sale throughout the day included sunflower badges, pins, t-shirts and even sun flower seeds. The representatives from Kildare Hospice visit Intel each year to raise money on this special day.
Ena Hanlon who works with the Kildare Hospice was extremely pleased with the amount of money raised. She said, “Like every year we come here, Intel employees were very generous with their donations. We were very pleased with the amount raised and I know that the employees appreciate it is for a very worthy cause. Everyone at the Kildare Hospice would like to thank everyone at Intel for their generosity and support and we look forward to seeing you next year!”
