On Wednesday 5th July, 10 volunteers from Intel visited the Ryevale Nursing Home in Leixlip to play another game of Bingo with the residents. Playing Bingo has become a popular project with volunteers regularly visiting both Maynooth Community Care Centre and the Ryevale Nursing Home in Leixlip to organize games and give out prizes.

The volunteers arrived at 3pm to set up the game and in no time at all volunteer Ciara Keenan was calling out two little ducks 22 and all of the other well known Bingo calls. Prizes were presented for a line and a house and a number of games were played during the hour and a half.

Staff Nurse, Anne Gallagher from Ryevale Nursing Home said, “This project has proved to be equally popular with both the residents in the nursing homes and the volunteers in Intel. The residents are delighted to participate and love it when they win prizes.”
