INTEL VOLUNTEERS PAINT CLASSROOMS IN LEIXLIP

August 06, 2006

Intel volunteers recently visited Scoil Eoin Phoil in Leixlip to paint two classrooms, whilst the children were on their summer holidays. This is one of many projects that Intel employees participate in as part of the company’s Intel Involved volunteer programme.

Gerry Nolan, from Public Affairs, spoke of the importance of participating in the volunteer projects, “These projects provide a great opportunity for a diverse team to work together and really boosts morale. I have recently returned to work from a years study leave and found the exercise an excellent way to get back into the swing of things with the whole department. It’s also great helping out and giving something back to the local areas around the Intel campus.”

Intel Involved is the worldwide volunteer programme in Intel which started in Leixlip in 1996. We are always on the look out for projects for our volunteers. If you have a project that you think Intel Involved could help with, please contact Caroline Curran on 01 606 7000.

Intel, the world leader in silicon innovation, develops technologies, products and initiatives to continually advance how people work and live. Additional information about Intel is available at www.intel.com/pressroom.
