INTEL VOLUNTEERS PAINT CLASSROOMS IN THE GLEBE MONTESSORI SCHOOL
August 02, 2006

A group of 30 Intel volunteers headed to The Glebe Montessori School in Leixlip recently to paint five classrooms and six bathrooms. The volunteers painted over two days and were all in agreement that the rooms looked great when they had finished.
Volunteer, HR Compensation and Benefits, agreed that the project was a great success, “I really enjoyed the project; it was nice to be able to help out in the community as well as getting to know the other interns a bit better too. My department is also signed up for a project soon, which I’m really looking forward to.”
Intel Involved coordinator, Bronagh Friel, was really pleased with the response from volunteers and their enthusiasm for the projects, “It’s great to see so many volunteers signing up for projects recently, we’ve lots of projects in the pipeline too so I’d just like to thank everyone for participating and would encourage those that haven’t yet to give it a try!”
Intel Involved is the worldwide volunteer programme in Intel which started in Leixlip in 1996. They are always on the look out for projects for our volunteers. If you have a project that you think Intel Involved could help with, please contact Caroline Curran on 01 606 8540.
