Intel Labs has made available, for immediate download, the source code for a reusable test infrastructure for the Intel® IXP1200 Processor-based MicroACE Test Framework. This infrastructure will speed the test and deployment of IXP1200 MicroACEs by eliminating single-use test code and providing a reusable tool. This test infrastructure requires minimal modifications for each new MicroACE developed.

Included in the download are the source code to a reusable test harness, a user's guide, a design specification, example test control scripts, and a packet generation/analysis script for interfacing to a tool of your choice.

For each new MicroACE a small "wrapper" is created for the test harness. An example wrapper has been provided for the bridging MicroACE that is present in the book IXP1200 Programming The Microengine Coding Guide for the Intel® IXP1200 Network Processor Family by Erik J Johnson and Aaron R. Kunze.
