Advancing the Effective Use of Technology for Teaching and Learning
Our children are tomorrow's hope. Intel has long been committed to improving education on a global scale. With an ongoing focus on students and teachers, the Intel World Ahead Program is making an impact with technology solutions that support the creation of 21st century skills, including digital literacy, problem solving, and critical thinking.
Helping to improve student learning with relevant technology
The most effective 1:1 e-Learning environments are designed to empower each student and teacher through the use of technology. Learning platforms designed with relevant content and technologies help children gain real world skills and encourage student-centered learning.
A worldwide commitment to learning
At Intel, the importance of a good education is one of our core values. That's why we've invested over USD 1 billion in education programs through the Intel® Education Initiative¹ in more than 50 countries on seven continents. We've helped to train 4 million teachers in more than 40 countries to date. But we're far from done.
We're on a mission: Nine million more trained teachers in the next four years with the possibility of reaching another one billion students.
Helping teachers inspire students
The Intel® Teach Program helps teachers use technology in their classrooms in an exciting, engaging way. By 2011, Intel expects to help 9 million more teachers and reach another 1 billion students.
We are committed to helping improve the quality of teaching and learning, and helping people of all ages learn valuable new skills to change lives and transform nations.
