Employee Programs

Employee programs

Intel believes in empowering our staff to participate in our environmental programs and work with the community to make a difference.

Intel Employee Sustainability Network

Intel Employee Sustainability Network is a chartered group that encourages employees to contribute to Intel’s global sustainable business performance. Members raise employee awareness of sustainability issues by hosting guest speakers, publishing newsletters and blogs, and volunteering for environmental projects in local communities.

Members of this network have been part of the judging panel for Intel’s Environmental Excellence Award for the past four years. Participation on the judging committee helps expand the scope beyond the factory footprint to products and community relevance.

Intel Involved

More than 80 Intel Involved volunteers inspired environmental awareness in students from 58 primary and secondary schools spread across Penang, Butterworth and Kulim under the Intel Malaysia Recycling Campaign community outreach initiative.

As part of the two-month recycling campaign initiative, Intel Malaysia organized an inter-school recycling competition with 30 recycled laptops awaiting the winning schools, courtesy of Intel Malaysia. As many as 600 students gathered and listened attentively as volunteers presented educational materials.

Volunteer grant matching program

In 2008, Intel is expanding our matching grant program to support schools and 501c3 non-profits in the communities where we work and live. Employees will be able to earn money for their favorite organizations, including those supporting environmental and e-waste recycling efforts.

Commute reduction program

Our Commute Reduction Program is a popular success. In 2007, more than 90 percent of Intel employees in the U.S. had access to commute reduction options such as flextime, telecommuting, vanpool or mass transit programs.
