Awards and Recognitions
Intel and our employees have been recognized for a number of corporate initiatives and charitable endeavors. In the past year, we have received over 80 recognitions for our corporate responsibility efforts at the local, national and global level. And while winning awards is certainly not the motivation behind these efforts, the recognition is always appreciated. The following is a listing of some of the recent awards Intel has received.
Newsweek's Green Rankings 2009
Intel debuted in the top five (earning the #4 spot) of this new ranking which graded the environmental performance of the largest 500 companies in the U.S.
Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes Member
In September 2009, Intel was included in the indexes for the eleventh consecutive year (since inception) and again earned the top spot in the semiconductor sector.
Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World
Intel was named for the fifth year in a row to the list of the "100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World" in this annual ranking published by Corporate Knights and Innovest in January 2009.
Intel Named a Green Power Partner of the Year by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
In September 2009, Intel was recognized as a Green Power Partner of the Year by the U.S. EPA for voluntary efforts to address climate change through our renewable energy purchase, leadership, overall strategy, and impact on the green power market.
Ethisphere Institute's 2009 World's Most Ethical Companies
In 2009, Intel was recognized by Ethisphere Institute for our ethics and compliance programs and corporate responsibility efforts.
Corporate Responsibility Officer magazine's 100 Best Corporate Citizens List
In March 2009, Intel was again included on CRO magazine's list of 100 Best Corporate Citizens. Intel is one of only three companies to have been on the list since inception.
BCLC's 2009 Corporate Citizenship Awards
Intel was named a finalist in the U.S. Chamber's Business Civic Leadership Center's 2009 Corporate Citizenship Awards in the International Community Service Award category.

Intel was named to Fortune's 2009 list of World's Most Admired Companies. Intel was ranked #1 in the semiconductor industry.
Covalence Ethical Rating
Intel was ranked #2 overall and #1 in our sector in Covalence's annual 2008 rating and moved up to the #2 spot overall in Covalence's Q2 2009 rating.
Maala Index for Corporate Social Responsibility
Intel Israel was again named one of the top companies in the 2009 MAALA Index for Corporate Social Responsibility, receiving a platinum rating.

2008 William O. Douglas Award-Corporate Achievement Award
Intel received the Corporate Achievement Award "for exemplary corporate citizenship and their remarkable commitment to strengthening the fabric of our community and our society."
100 Best Companies for Working Mothers
Intel was named to the list of "100 Best Companies for Working Mothers."
PR News CSR Awards
Intel was named "Overall Leader in CSR" at the organization's annual awards luncheon in 2009.
CSR Excellence in China Award – American Chamber of Commerce, Shanghai
Intel China received this honor for its extraordinary CSR practices, proactive response to the Sichuan earthquake, and continuing commitment to education advancement.
IR Global Rankings 2009
Intel was included in the listing of Best Ranked Corporate Governance Practices in North America.
Overall Outstanding Achievement in Corporate Social Responsibility
Intel Ireland was awarded the Overall Outstanding Achievement in Corporate Social Responsibility and the Responsible Employers Award at the Chambers Ireland President's Awards for CSR.
Oregon's Most Admired Technology Company and in Top Four of Most Admired Oregon Companies Overall
Intel Oregon was named Oregon's Most Admired Technology Company and was named one of the four Most Admired Oregon Companies overall.
Top 25 Best Workplaces in India
Intel India was named to the list of the Top 25 Best Workplaces 2008 conducted by the Great Place to Work Institute & Economic Times. Intel India also received a special award for excellence in corporate social responsibility.
2009 Corporate Equality Index
Intel received a perfect score in the 2009 Corporate Equality Index and was recognized by Human Rights Campaign's Best Places to Work for GLBT Equality.
Outside Magazine's Best Places to Work
Outside Magazine named Intel to its list of Best Places to Work in 2008.
50 Best Places to Work For - First Place
Intel Israel earned the top spot in The Marker magazine's ranking of the 50 Best Companies to Work For in Israel.
Best ICT Company to Work For
Intel Ireland was named Best ICT company to work for by ICT Ireland.
Commonwealth CSR Award
Intel Taiwan was recognized for excellence in CSR by the business magazine The Commonwealth.
Minority Engineer Magazine – Top 50 Employers List
Intel was ranked #8 in the magazine’s 23rd annual top 50 employers survey.

President’s Volunteer Service Award
Intel was one of two U.S. companies presented with the President’s Volunteer Service award by President Bush as part of USA Freedom Corps National Volunteer Week in April 2008.
China Outstanding Corporate Citizen Award
For the fourth year in a row, Intel China received the Outstanding Corporate Citizen award and received a special Extraordinary Contribution Award for our rapid response and contribution to Sichuan earthquake relief efforts.
Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal – Corporate Philanthropy List
Intel topped the newspaper's list of Top Corporate Philanthropists.
San Francisco Business Times – Corporate Philanthropy List
Intel was again named to the magazine's annual listing of top philanthropists in the Bay area.
Volunteer of the Year and Volunteerism Oscar
Intel Russia received a special award as Volunteer Corporate of the Year in Nizhny Novgorod from the Mayor of Nizhny as well as the National Volunteerism Award, or Volunteerism Oscar given by the State Duma and non-profit organizations.
Gold Quill Award
Intel Philippines won the Gold Quill Award in 2008 for the Intel Involved Matching Grant Program from IABC Philippines.
Spirit of California Award
Intel was recognized by the Sacramento United Way for the largest employee campaign in Sacramento's history.
Heart of the Community Awards
Intel Oregon was recognized by Hands on Greater Portland for excellence in volunteerism with the Corporate Volunteer Award.
National Council for Volunteerism in Israel
Intel Israel was awarded a certificate of recognition for special contribution and voluntarism in the community.
Responsible Entrepreneurship Award
Intel Malaysia was recognized at the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards for innovation in social responsibility.
Marlborough Chamber of Commerce – 2008 Business of the Year
Intel Massachusetts received the 2008 Business of the Year award.

Corporate Governance and Climate Change Ranking
Intel was ranked fourth overall and received the top score in the semiconductor sector for demonstrating excellence in climate change strategy, disclosure and management by CERES and Risk Metrics.

California Clean Air Award
Intel received the 2008 California Clean Air Award from Breathe California for 'Outstanding Leadership in Global Climate Change' and our actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
New Mexico Recycling Achievement Award
Intel received the New Mexico Recycling Achievement Award from the New Mexico Recycling Coalition.
Waste Reduction Award Program (WRAP Award)
Our Santa Clara and Folsom sites received the Waste Reduction Award Program award from the California Integrated Waste Management Board.
Energy Manager of the Year
Intel Ireland received the Energy Manager of the Year from Sustainable Energy Ireland for improvements in Intel’s manufacturing energy efficiency.
Outstanding Award for Energy Efficiency
Intel Philippines received this award from the Philippines Department of Energy for our energy efficiency and conservation programs.
Green IT Award of the Year
Intel Japan received this award from Japan’s Green IT Promotion Council (GIPC) and Ministry of Economy, Technology and Industry (METI).
U.S. EPA Water Efficiency Leader (WEL) Award
Intel received the U.S. EPA Water Efficiency Leader award in 2007 for our efforts in reducing, reusing, and recycling water.
2008 Level II International Corporate Health and Productivity Management Award
Intel was recognized by the Institute for Health and Productivity Management for efforts to tie its health program to corporate productivity in an integrated manner.
Gold Level Award–Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyle
Intel won a Gold Level award for The Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyle.

The Arizona Department of Education recognized Intel for leadership in developing the Adjunct Teacher Program.

Intel Peru received this award in recognition of the Intel Education Program as the best CSR program in the country.
Silver Medal–Ukraine Ministry of Education
Intel Ukraine was recognized with the silver medal for innovation in education.
Best Contribution Award from Ministry of Education
Intel Taiwan was recognized for its efforts to promote and enhance local science education.
Initiative Freiheit und Verantwortung—CSR Award
Intel received the corporate social responsibility (CSR) award Initiative Freiheit und Verantwortung in recognition of the Intel Teach® Program and our commitment to education in Germany.
Recognition from Turkish Minister of National Education
Intel was recognized for its contributions to the integration of ICT into the Turkish Education System.
2007 Education Citizen of the Year
Intel Oregon was named 2007 Education Citizen of the Year.
China Ministry of Education—Outstanding Contribution Award
Intel China was recognized for its outstanding commitment and contribution to education in China.
