Awards and Recognitions
Intel employees have been recognized for a number of corporate initiatives and charitable endeavors. And while winning awards is certainly not the motivation behind these efforts, the recognition is always appreciated. The following is a listing of the recent awards Intel has received.
#1 Company on 100 Best Corporate Citizens List
In February 2008, Intel was named the #1 company on CRO Magazine’s 100 Best Corporate Citizens. Intel has been included in the top 20 companies in this list for the past 7 years and in 2007 Intel earned the top spot in the magazine’s Top 10 Corporate Citizens by Industry List.
Dow Jones Sustainability Index Technology Supersector Leader
Intel was included in the index for the tenth consecutive year (since the list’s inception) and was named Supersector Leader for Technology for the eighth consecutive year. Intel was the only U.S. company to be named a Supersector Leader.
100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World
In 2008, Intel was named for the fourth year in a row to the list of the “100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World.”
President’s Volunteer Service Award
Intel was one of two U.S. companies presented with the President’s Volunteer Service award by President Bush as part of USA Freedom Corps National Volunteer Week in April 2008.

2008 William O. Douglas Award—Corporate Achievement Award
Intel is the recipient of the Corporate Achievement Award “for exemplary corporate citizenship and their remarkable commitment to strengthening the fabric of our community and our society.”
Foreign Policy Association CSR Award
Intel received the association’s annual Corporate Social Responsibility Award, citing our demonstrated commitment to education, community development, and sustainable environmental practices.
America’s Most Admired Companies
Intel was named to Fortune’s 2008 lists of World’s Most Admired Companies and America’s Most Admired Companies. In the America’s Most Admired list, Intel was ranked #1 in the semiconductor industry in terms of social responsibility.
Maala Index for Corporate Social Responsibility
Intel was named one of Israel’s top five private companies in CSR.
100 Best Companies for Working Mothers
Intel was named to the list of “100 Best Companies for Working Mothers.”
American Chamber of Commerce CSR Award
Intel Costa Rica received the Chamber’s CSR Award—the only national CSR award in the country.
Zero Hunger Certificate
Intel was given with the Zero Hunger Certificate award for helping the Brazilian government with its digital inclusion project.
Ethics and Values in Industry Award
Intel received the Ethics and Values National Industry Award from the National Confederation of Industry Chambers in Mexico.
Certification of Appreciation from Ministry of Health—Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Intel was recognized for efforts to advance IT use at King Fahed Medical City in Riyadh.
Most Responsible Multinational Company in China
Intel China won the national CSR award for Most Responsible Multinational Corporation in China.
2007 Corporate Equality Index
Intel received a perfect score in the 2007 Corporate Equality Index and was recognized by Human Rights Campaign’s Best Places to Work for GLBT Equality.
Outside Magazine’s Best Places to Work
Outside Magazine named Intel to its list of Best Places to Work in 2008.

Prime Minister’s Inaugural CSR Award 2007
Intel Malaysia was recognized with the inaugural Prime Minister’s Award for CSR in the community and social welfare category.
China Outstanding Corporate Citizen Award
For the third year in a row, Intel China received the Outstanding Corporate Citizen award.
2007 Corporate Citizenship Award
Intel New Mexico won the Corporate Citizenship Award from the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce.
Oregon’s Most Admired Technology Company and in Top Three Most Admired Oregon Companies Overall
Intel Oregon was named Oregon’s Most Admired Technology Company and was named one of the three Most Admired Oregon Companies overall.
Chambers Ireland—Best Community-Based Project
Intel Ireland was recognized with the CSR award for Best Community Based Project for the site’s community stakeholder management.
SF Business Times—Corporate Philanthropy List
Intel made the newspaper’s list of “Top Corporate Philanthropists.”
Corporate Angel Award
Intel Corporation was awarded the Corporate Angel Award in 2007 for helping to transport cancer patients using available seats corporate aircraft as part of Intel’s membership in the Corporate Angel Network.
Helen Keller Award
Intel India received the Helen Keller Award for technology education and job training in its work with the Centres for Economic Empowerment of the Intellectually Challenged.
Red Cross 2007 Award
Intel Italia received the Red Cross 2007 Award for the e-Care project to help children in a children’s hospital stay connected with their school and classmates during their stay.

Clean Air Award
Intel received the 2008 California Clean Air Award from the organization Breathe California for 'Outstanding Leadership in Global Climate Change' and our actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
U.S. EPA 2007 Water Efficiency Leader (WEL) Award
Intel received the U.S. EPA Water Efficiency Leader award for our efforts in reducing, reusing, and recycling water.
Prime Minister’s Hibiscus Award for Environmental Performance
For the third consecutive year, Intel Malaysia won the Prime Minister’s Hibiscus Award for Environmental Performance.
Don Emilio Abello Energy Efficiency Award
Intel Philippines won the Don Emilio Abello Energy Efficiency Award for its energy conservation programs.
Waste Reduction Award Program (WRAP Award)
Our Santa Clara and Folsom sites received the Waste Reduction Award Program award.
Crescordia Award for Environmental Stewardship
Intel Arizona was given the Crescordia Award for Environmental Stewardship in recognition of environmental leadership strategies over the past decade.
Safest Warehouse
Intel’s distribution center at Schipol-Rijk was rated the safest warehouse in the Netherlands.
2007 Global Responsibility Action Award (Saving Energy Emission Reduction Award)
Intel China was given a Global Responsibility Action Award for achievements in energy savings and emissions reductions.
Business Recycling Award from Mass Recycles
Our Hudson site was recognized for its in-house recycling program.
Gold Level Award—Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyle
Intel won the Gold Level award for The Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyle.

Best Contribution Award from Ministry of Education
Intel Taiwan was recognized for its efforts to promote and enhance local science education.
Initiative Freiheit und Verantwortung—CSR Award
Intel received the corporate social responsibility (CSR) award Initiative Freiheit und Verantwortung in recognition of the Intel Teach® Program and our commitment to education in Germany.
Recognition from Turkish Minister of National Education
Intel was recognized for its contributions to the integration of ICT into the Turkish Education System.
2007 Education Citizen of the Year
Intel Oregon was named 2007 Education Citizen of the Year.
China Ministry of Education Award
Intel China was recognized for its outstanding commitment and contribution to education in China.
