Intel is leading an important discussion in 2009 on how investment in new ideas, technologies, and innovation can help grow the economy and create jobs. The year-long campaign intends to put these ideas at the center of our national discourse.
Partnering with The Aspen Institute and other thought-leading organizations, we will begin with a series of focused conversations in Washington, D.C., around such topics as investment in basic research, innovation and investment in America, education, green technology, and R&D. Convening some of the brightest minds from business, academia, media, and government, we will address critical questions such as:
How do we promote innovation? What is the right mix of public and private funding? What focused investments will lead to the greatest change?
The conversations will lead to a major summit to be held in Washington D.C. this fall, where we will convene a dialogue and invite commitments to grow our economy and meet the challenges not just of today, but of tomorrow.
