Extreme Gamer Challenge and Gaming Zone
Prove your gaming proficiency in front of throngs of cheering IDF participants at the Extreme Gamer Challenge. All eyes are on you as you compete in Beat the Pro! and the Ultimate Computer Build-Off. The gamer with the right combination of smarts, skill, and speed will win some exciting prizes.

Day 1 (Tuesday) – Drawing for entrance to Extreme Gamer Challenge
 
Registration for the Extreme Gamer Challenge is now open. Watch this space for details on how to sign up to enter, or register on-site at the War Machine exhibit located in the Main Entry Hall (ground floor) of Moscone Center West before noon on Tuesday, September 18, 2007.

Come to the Gaming Zone for the drawing during the Day 1 Technology Showcase. From all the entries, six names will be drawn to compete in Day 2's Beat the Pro! Even if your name is not drawn, you may receive a fantastic goody bag from War Machine filled with War Machine gear.
 
 
Day 2 (Wednesday) – Beat the Pro!

This round will test your game-play ability. Professional gamer Andy Ryder of Team EG will be on hand Wednesday, September 19 to challenge the six contestants.

The battlefield: one pro, six extreme gamers, and seven identically tuned CyberPower Gamer Infinity Ultimate PCs. Multiple rounds of competitive action under the showcase lights.

Two competitors will be sent packing. Only the top four will emerge from Beat the Pro! to advance to Day 3's Ultimate Computer Build-Off.
 
 
Day 3 (Thursday) – Ultimate Computer Build-Off

At 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 20, the four remaining competitors will compete in the Ultimate Computer Build-Off. Contestants will be given a workbench with hardware and software components necessary to build a gaming system. The crowd will cheer them on and a video crew will capture and broadcast the action as it happens.

The first to build the machine, then load and start the game will be declared the Ultimate Computer Build-Off winner and will also claim the 2007 title of IDF Extreme Gamer.
