The Intel® Mobile Clinical Assistant (MCA) Software Development Kit (SDK) enables application developers to integrate MCA device support (e.g., bar code reader, RFID reader and cameras) into their applications, streamlining workflows for clinicians and enabling them to gain maximum benefit from the hardware features. The SDK offers several important benefits:

• Ensures that a single code base will run on all devices in the MCA family of products
• Accelerates time to market by providing a development environment that is hardware agnostic (development and testing can begin in advance of acquiring an MCA device)
• Provides value-added features such as local image encryption in an easily integrated API, saving resources and enabling more compelling applications
• Seamlessly handles applications which run on client or over Citrix* (no code changes required to support remote access)
