Intel® Teach Elements: Project-Based Approaches. Explore ideas and try new
project-based approaches for the classroom in this self-paced, interactive online
course—the first in a series of “short courses” focused on 21st
century themes. This is free, just-in-time professional development that you can
experience now.
For National Training Sessions, LEAs apply to support their teachers
Intel® Teach is research-proven professional development provided through a
"train the trainer" approach. Local Education Agencies (LEAs)—usually a state
agency, district, or school—apply
to participate in the program. Upon acceptance, LEAs identify Master Teachers
(MTs)—leaders among their peers and experienced in integrating technology
into curriculum—to attend a Master Level course. Intel Teach certified MTs
are provided with the latest materials and with support to deliver the course to
classroom teachers (all MT participants commit to train
a minimum of 10 Participant Teachers in their location). Training, materials
and support are provided without charge (although there is a $150 registration fee
for a session, refundable for cancellations up to 10 days before the start date,
that covers registration processing and continental breakfast, lunch and food for
breaks).
