Intel Teach to the Future ForumsIntel Teach to the Future Forums

The goal of the Intel® Teach to the Future Leadership Forum is to guide instructional leaders as they support and promote effective integration of technology in K-12 classrooms. Through hands-on activities in a computer lab, participants engage with research about technology integration and student inquiry as effective approaches to improving student achievement. This four-hour forum provides direction and options for developing plans that can be implemented to address the unique circumstances of each school or district.

This forum guides leaders through six hands-on modules focused on relevant research and alignment to standards, such as ISTE NETS-A*. Leaders interact with the facilitator and each other to begin development of a personal action plan. Register * today to participate in a scheduled forum or apply to host a forum in your district.

Emphasizing the ISTE NETS-A
The Intel Teach to the Future Leadership Forum contains specific, hands-on activities built around exploring and meeting the ISTE NETS-A standards.

  • Participants engage in a leadership behavioral ranking activity using an online tool. Through this activity, participants are able to identify key NETS-A behaviors that are important to them in promoting and supporting technology integration in their schools.
  • Participants further their knowledge of the NETS-A by exploring a hands-on visual organizer of the standards. Because of the electronic organization and visual representation, participants are able to gain a deeper understanding of the NETS-A standards and how they tie to specific leadership behaviors.
  • Participants synthesize the knowledge they have gained through learning about the NETS-A and reviewing other research to begin development of a personalized action plan. The action plan is tied directly to the NETS-A standards. When participants leave the forum, they not only have knowledge of the NETS-A, but also a specific plan of action that will help them meet these standards.
