Overview
The Intel® Innovation in Education Web site contains resources designed to improve the effective use of technology in the classroom. For example, the Designing Effective Projects resource includes a collection of exemplary unit plans for teachers that integrate technology into classroom projects through standards-based instruction. Others, such as the thinking tools, are designed for teachers and students to use during learning projects. To help teachers use any of these resources to the fullest potential, we have provided this Online Resources Guide to help the professional developer or technology integration specialist build customized presentations about these free resources.

Planning Your Session
The materials in this Online Resources Guide can be used in a professional development session of varying format and length—from brief presentations at staff meetings to longer hands-on workshops. The materials include slides, facilitator guides, and handouts for five different topics all related to technology integration.

Tips for the Facilitator
To make the most of your session, you will want to do some advance preparation. We suggest a facilitator takes time to:
Review all presentation materials, notes, and handouts
Get familiar with Web site navigation and specific resources addressed in each presentation
Practice suggested activities
Adjust and customize materials to suit the participants' grade and subject area interests
Facilitate hands-on sessions

Facilities
Presentations are best if delivered in a technology lab setting with high-speed Internet access so participants can follow along or browse specific Web pages. Presentations require a presenter's station equipped with:
A computer with a high-speed Internet connection
Screen
Computer projector
VCR (connected to projector and speaker system)
Wireless mike (depending on room size and acoustics)

Workshops that engage participants in hands-on activities are designed to take place in a technology lab setting and require:
Presenter's station (with same equipment listed above)
PC workstations with high-speed Internet connection (maximum of two people/station)
