Intel NetStructure® MPCBL0050Φ Single Board Computer |
 |
The Intel NetStructure® MPCBL0050Φ Single Board Computer is Intel's most powerful AdvancedTCA* single-board computer. Featuring the Dual-Core Intel® Xeon® processor LV 5138¹, it combines Intel® 64 Technology+(Intel® 64) with dual-core, dual processing capabilities for a total of four processor cores on a single platform, providing performance boost, superior subsystem scalability and density. This fifth-generation design achieves significant performance improvements for compute-intensive and database-access applications including IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS), wireless control plane, and IPTV.
The MPCBL0050 SBC is optimized to support first-generation AdvancedTCA chassis that limit front-board power to less than 200W. It also interoperates with AdvancedTCA products from Intel and with third-party building blocks meeting the PICMG* 3.0 specification.

¹ Intel® processor numbers are not a measure of performance. Processor numbers differentiate features within each processor family, not across different processor families. See www.intel.com/products/processor_number/ for details.
² SPECfp_2000-Rate (DP Mode) tests compared the performance of two Dual-Core Intel® Xeon® processors LV 5148¢ (four cores per system) with two single-core Intel Xeon processors (2.8 GHz) in a dual-processing configuration (two cores per system):

Performance tests and ratings are measured using specific computer systems and/or components and reflect the approximate performance of Intel® products as measured by those tests. Any difference in system hardware or software design or configuration may affect actual performance. Buyers should consult other sources of information to evaluate the performance of systems or components they are considering purchasing. For more information on performance tests and on the performance of Intel products, reference http://www.intel.com/performance/resources/limits.htm or call (U.S.) 1-800-628-8686 or 1-916-356-3104.
+ 64-bit computing on Intel architecture requires a computer system with a processor, chipset, BIOS, operating system, device drivers and applications enabled for Intel® 64 architecture. Processors will not operate (including 32-bit operation) without an Intel® 64 architecture-enabled BIOS. Performance will vary depending on your hardware and software configurations. Consult with your system vendor for more information.
