- Electrical Testing
Electrical Testing After system-based testing has confirmed the validity of a product functionality issue, parts are subjected to PC Platform Validation (PPV).
PPV is the last step of testing completed during high volume manufacturing to give quality assurance at the early stages of the product life cycle. The testing continues with a combination of structural and functional testing on Automated Production Testers (ATE). The results of the electrical tests are combined with observations from customers and results from commonality analysis to determine the next steps in the product functional analysis flow.
PC Platform validation
Platform validation is the last step of testing done during high volume manufacturing to give quality assurance at the early stages of the product life cycle. It consists of standardized tests in a customer-like platform.
Production testing
Production testing is done to determine the functional behavior on a more detailed level. At this stage it is determined whether the analysis proceeds with a parametric or logic level fault isolation flow. The testing is done at various temperature, voltage, and frequency conditions to determine the sensitivity of the observed behavior.
