The Mobile Intel® 945 Express Chipset Family is the next generation Intel® Hub Architecture for Intel® Centrino® Duo Mobile Technology and the next generation Intel® Centrino® Mobile Technology. The Mobile Intel® 945 chipset family offers higher performance for flexible and scalable platforms based on integrated graphics (945GM/GMS) or discrete graphics (945PM). The Mobile Intel® 943GML and 940GML Express chipsets are optimized for the Intel® Celeron® M processor and the Intel® Celeron® M processor ULV.
The Mobile Intel® 945GM Express chipset's low power design enables up to 28% less average power consumption compared to previous generations. Featuring the Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950, the Mobile Intel 945GM Express chipset delivers up to 2x improvement in graphics performance over the previous generation chipset. The Mobile Intel® 945GM Express chipset enables up to 25% higher data transfer rate compared to the previous generation bus speed. Additionally, it features PCI Express* x16 graphics ports and PCI Express x1 I/O ports, next generation Serial ATA, and Hi-Speed USB 2.0 connectivity.
The Mobile Intel® 945PM Express chipset delivers outstanding system performance through high-bandwidth interfaces such as dual-channel DDR2 memory, 667 MHz system bus, PCI Express* x16 graphics port and PCI Express x1 I/O ports, next generation Serial ATA, and Hi-Speed USB 2.0 connectivity. Use of the Mobile Intel® 945PM Express chipset includes support for Intel® Active Management Technology, the next generation of remote client network management for business.
The Mobile Intel® 945GMS Express chipset's feature set and package size are optimized to meet the needs of small form factor laptops. It supports Intel's latest generation Low Voltage and Ultra-Low Voltage processors as well as the Ultra-Low Voltage Intel Celeron M processor.
The Mobile Intel® 943GML Express Chipset is optimized for the Intel® Celeron® M processors and the Intel® Celeron® M ULV processors. The Mobile Intel® 943GML Express Chipset delivers enhanced performance for value based notebook platforms to meet the needs of present and future notebook graphics and OS usage models.
The Mobile Intel® 940 GML Express chipset is optimized for the Intel® Celeron® M processor and the Intel® Celeron® M processor ULV. A common mobility board can be designed with the Mobile Intel® 940GML Express chipset to facilitate a scalable mobile platform.
