Intel® Teach to the Future
Twenty thousand Filipino teachers will be trained through the Intel® Teach to the Future program in the next two years. In 2001, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, President of the Philippines, endorsed Intel's education initiatives and awarded a symbolic certificate to the first of 10,000 teachers enrolled in the Intel Teach to the Future program. The program is organized in cooperation with Philippine government agencies, the Department of Science and Technology, and the Department of Education, Culture and Sports, and schools including Asia Pacific College, and University of the Philippines National Institute of Science and Mathematics Education Development.
Mobile IT Classrooms
Mobile IT classrooms provide students in remote areas with access to the latest technology and interactive science and mathematics materials. Philipines President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo praised the project as a big step toward delivering valuable information technology exposure throughout the country. The mobile classrooms are buses with 32 seats and 16 working tables for students. Intel contributes the hardware and software equipment for two mobile classrooms, each serving 20,00 students annually.
Intel Computer Clubhouse Network
Intel Chief Executive Officer Craig Barrett announced the partnership of Ayala Foundation and Intel for the establishment of the Intel Computer Clubhouse in the Philippines, which is the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. In August 2001, Barrett presented the Memorandum of Understanding between Ayala Foundation and Intel to President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo as a strong sign of Intel’s commitment to support the Information and Communications Technology agenda.

- Intel provides full scholarships to 34 engineering and physics students at four universities.

The Intel Rural Community Literacy Program donated 20,000 mathematics, science, and English-language textbooks to 28 elementary and secondary schools. The ongoing project involves cooperation between Intel Philippines, the Philippine Department of Education, Culture and Sports, the Books of the Barangay Foundation Inc., and the municipal government of General Trias. The program benefits more than 27,000 students.
