Intel® Innovation in Education in Israel
Intel® Teach to the Future
Working with TechnologyIntel® Teach to the Future was launched in Israel in 2001. As of spring 2002, more than 1,500 teachers in Israel have been trained. Currently, the program operates in four centers located throughout Israel (Achva College in the South; Gordon College in the North; the kibbutz school system in the Jerusalem area, and the Amal Technology school system in Central Israel). These programs are expected to train more than 5,000 teachers in Israel by the end of 2002.

Intel International Science and Engineering Fair
In Israel, Science Day (March 13, 2002) marked the birthday of Albert Einstein and the date of the Young Scientists Competition. In 2002, the competition was cosponsored by Intel, the Bloomfield Science Museum, and the Education Ministry. Now in its fifth year, the competition is intended to promote, develop, and encourage creative and original thought among Israeli youth in the various science and technology fields. Intel Jerusalem employees were involved in mentoring the contestants. Winners competed in the 2002 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF).

Intel Computer Clubhouse Network
Three Intel Computer Clubhouses operate in Israel, in Kiryat Gat, Jerusalem, and Haifa. Intel hopes that these centers will bring a measure of digital opportunity to the homes of those who might otherwise miss the "technology boat."

Higher Education
Since 1974, universities and colleges throughout Israel have partnered with Intel to advance science education. Academia and business have collaborated on a wide range of programs to impart technological knowledge and tools, promote the assimilation of advanced systems, and conduct technological research.
