Multi-Port Gigabit Ethernet MAC PHY Family

The multi-port Gigabit Ethernet media access control (MAC) physical layer (PHY) controller product line provides gigabit network connectivity for multi-core and virtualized platforms and server and embedded system designs. These are high performing, PCI Express* 10/100/1000 Ethernet connections using a dual-port, single-chip configuration. 

The Intel® 82576 Gigabit Ethernet Controller improves performance and throughput by reducing the I/O overhead, and it provides near-native performance, data protection, and enhanced support for pass-through traffic to the board management controller.

These products offer footprint compatibility with single-port Gigabit Ethernet controllers for flexible designs.
