Box Enhances Cloud Content Security, Partners with Intel

Editor’s Pick: Box, originally launched in 2005 as a consumer online storage solution, has evolved into an enterprise-level content-sharing platform competing with Google Docs* and Microsoft SharePoint*. New security and management features use smart shared links, trusted access, and trusted groups Microsoft Active Directory* synchronization to address IT manager concerns about storing sensitive data in the cloud. Box also announced a partnership with Intel to integrate its service into Intel® Expressway Cloud Access 360, software designed to help organizations control the life cycle of cloud access security. In addition to IT administrators being able to automatically provision Box accounts, Intel® Expressway Cloud Access 360 users also can choose to implement two-factor authentication for Box.
