The Max CPUID Value Limit in the system BIOS must be disabled for proper processor identification. Once processor identification is complete, the option can be enabled if desired.

To disable the Max CPUID Value Limit option, enter the BIOS setup screen while booting the system. For Intel® Desktop Boards, follow these steps:

  1. Press F2while booting
  2. Click Advanced
  3. Select Boot Configuration
  4. Set Max CPUID Value Limit to Disabled

For motherboards from other manufacturers, contact your system manufacturer for technical support information.
