Intel® Turbo Boost Technology Monitor discontinuation announcement

The Intel® Turbo Boost Technology Monitor program is not supported on 4th Generation Intel® Processors. We do not recommend testing or shipping Intel® Turbo Boost Technology Monitor v2.5 on these platforms as it may result in unexpected behavior. For validation and testing purposes, we recommend using the Thermal Analysis Tool (TAT) or Power Thermal Utility (PTU) to monitor Turbo Boost or third-party monitor tools.

This utility was discontinued and removed from Intel® Download Center on June 30, 2014.

What is the Intel® Turbo Boost Technology Monitor?

The Intel® Turbo Boost Technology Monitor is a Windows* Presentation Format application designed for Windows 7* and Windows 8*. The application displays processor frequency activity. It shows energy saver mode when the processor works at less than the thermal design power (TDP) frequency.

Intel® Turbo Boost Technology does not require this software application for proper operation. You can uninstall the software without affecting normal Intel® Turbo Boost Technology operation.
