Use the Intel® PROSet/Wireless WiFi Connection Utility to set up, edit, and manage network profiles to connect to a network. The features and implementation vary depending on your operating system.

Intel® Driver Update Utility

The Intel® Driver Update Utility is easiest way to identify your wireless adapter and driver version. The tool identifies your adapter and updates your driver to the latest version, if needed. After the tool updates the driver, it automatically deletes the old driver version.

Windows® 10

Microsoft Native Wi-Fi* controls basic wireless profile configurations like WEP, WPA-Personal, and WPA2-Personal. The Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software allows you to create more advanced profiles using EAP and Cisco CCX*. The software utility also offers an IT admin tool, statistics, diagnostics, and troubleshooting tool.

For IT Administrators:

Intel® PROSet/Wireless Enterprise Software. Limited support is available for creating packages with the Intel® PROSet/Wireless Admin Tool.

Windows 8.1*

Microsoft's Native Wi-Fi* controls basic wireless profile configurations like WEP, WPA-Personal, and WPA2-Personal. The Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software allows you to create more advanced profiles using EAP and Cisco CCX*. The software utility also offers an IT admin tool, statistics, diagnostics, and a troubleshooting tool.

For IT Administrators:

Intel® PROSet/Wireless Enterprise Software provides the familiar Intel® user interface and tools available for Windows XP* with one difference. All profiles are created using Native Wi-Fi* controls on Windows 7*. The software utility combines simplified user interface design with advanced IT tools. It creates and pushes Wi-Fi profiles, centrally controls client software, and remotely enforces corporate network policies.

Features include the IT administrator toolkit, adapter switching, profile migration tool, and reset Intel® PROSet.

Windows 8*

Windows XP*

Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software helps you create and manage wireless profiles. The application replaces Windows Zero Config*, the built-in Wi-Fi manager for Windows XP*. Profiles created in one application can't be shared with the other. The Intel PROSet/Wireless Software utility offers an IT admin tool, statistics, adapter settings, diagnostics, and a troubleshooting tool. The single sign-on (SSO) feature enables both the persistent connection feature and pre-logon connect.
