This document describes how to connect up to three displays to an Intel® NUC; which ports to use and what the expected maximum resolution will be.

Dual display configurations

For this Multi-Stream Transport (daisy-chained) configurations, all displays and cables must support the DisplayPort 1.2 specification. Daisy-chaining describes the ability to connect multiple monitors using a single connection between each one.

For this Multi-Stream Transport (daisy-chained) configurations, all displays and cables must support the DisplayPort 1.2 specification. Daisy-chaining describes the ability to connect multiple monitors using a single connection between each one.

Intel® NUC Kit DC53427HYE and Intel® NUC Board D53427RKE In this configuration, the two displays that you connect to the mini DisplayPort ports must be native DisplayPort-capable. Adapters that change DisplayPort to HDMI or DVI will not work. It is also best that the first display be HDMI without any adapters.

Customer Report: triple display on the Intel NUC Kit DC53427HYE works with the following configuration:

  • First display: VGA monitor connected to DisplayPort 1 with a DP-to-VGA cable adapter (QVS* MDPV-MF)
  • Second display: VGA monitor connected to DisplayPort 2 with a DP-to-VGA cable adapter (QVS MDPV-MF)
  • Third display: HDMI monitor connected to the HDMI port with an HDMI cable
