The latest firmware versions for the Intel® Optane™ Solid State Drives (SSDs) and Intel® Optane™ Memory products are shown below. Look for your Intel® Optane™ product to check the latest firmware available. We recommend that you keep your Intel drive up-to-date with the latest firmware available.
What should you know before start? |
- The list below corresponds to the latest Intel firmware versions for Intel® Optane™ Solid State Drives and Intel® Optane™ Memory products.
- The Intel tools below are unable to update drives with pre-production firmware. For more information, work with your Intel representative.
- If your device is from an original equipment manufacturer (OEM), your firmware version may have a different naming. Contact your OEM representative for the latest firmware revision.
- If your device is a formerly Intel NAND Solid State Drive, contact Soldigm™ support for driver and firmware updates. These SSDs are now supported by Solidigm™.
- Before updating the firmware, back up your data. If the firmware update process is interrupted, your Intel® Optane™ product might not function properly.

To properly update the firmware of your device, you will need to use one of the following Intel tools:
These Intel tools can detect and update the firmware of your drive. If No is listed, it means that the tool does not contain the latest version as listed in the tables below, but it may still be able to update the firmware on the device in case there are any firmware updates available. To check the current firmware version of your device, see Find the Firmware Version for Your Intel® Solid State Drive.
Release Notes for each firmware release are included in the Release Notes of the Intel® Memory and Storage Tool (GUI) and Intel® Memory and Storage Tool (CLI).
Check the latest status of Intel® Optane™ products |
- Some Intel® Optane™ products have reached End of Life (EOL), End of Service Update (ESU), and/or End of Interactive Support (EOIS). Products where an ESU has been issued are not supported with any additional functional, security, or other updates. All versions are provided as is. Check the latest status of the Intel® Optane™ products in Customer Support Options for Discontinued Intel® Optane™ Solid-State Drives and Modules.
- The Intel® Optane™ Memory H10 and H20 with Solid State Storage are not supported with any additional functional, security, or other updates. The Intel® Optane™ Memory H20 with Solid State Storage has known security issues. All versions are provided as is. End of Service Update (ESU) has been issued.
