IPMB Communications Protocol Specification v.1.0: Document
The document describes the Intelligent Platform Management Bus (IPMB) Communications Protocol Specification v.1.0, rev. 1.0, which defines a byte-level transport of intelligent platform management interface messages between intelligent inter-integrated circuit devices. This protocol is layered above the bit stream and hardware interface defined by the 100 kbps inter-integrated circuit specification. Together, the protocol and inter-integrated circuit physical interface form the IPMB.
