Wendy March is a Design Lead for mobile experiences (both tablets and smartphones) in the Interaction and Experience Research Lab (IXR). Wendy’s current research focuses on the new forms of interaction with mobile devices that are enabled by sensors and advanced imaging technologies, especially new types of gaming. Previous projects have included reimagining domestic robotics; the “worst technology” for teenage girls; the future of smart streets, and how the design of digital money can reflect social values such as sustainability.
Wendy has explored a range of design and ethnographic research methodologies and uses her background in interaction design to find ways of using research as a basis for new concepts and future scenarios. She has an MA in Computer Related Design from the Royal College of Art in London and an MSc in Information Systems from the University of Brighton. Before joining Intel, Wendy worked as an interaction designer for IDEO, Taligent and BBC Worldwide.
