These FAQs supplement the full Intel Online Privacy Notice and Summary.
Q: The notice was last updated in April 2009. What changed?
A: Intel did not change any of its privacy practices in this update. We simply revised the privacy notice to provide better readability for the end-user and introduced a simplified Intel Online Privacy Notice Summary.
For future material changes to our notices, Intel will provide a prominent announcement on our web site prior to implementing the change. Should a change involve a material new use of information, Intel will also provide those affected with a prior and meaningful opportunity to choose or otherwise prevent that new use.
Q: What should I do if I have a privacy question after reading the notices and FAQs?
A: You can contact Intel by using the Contact Us form or send a letter to the mailing address listed below. Please include your contact information, name of the Intel web site or service, and a detailed description of your request or privacy concern.

Q: Does this notice also cover personal information collected offline?
A: Yes. We strive to have consistent privacy practices for your personal information, regardless of the medium used to collect the information.
Q: I want to submit my Resume/Curriculum Vitae to Intel. Does this privacy notice cover my personal information I submit to Intel as a prospective employee?
A: Yes. Intel will use your personal information for recruitment purposes. If you are offered a job or become employed by Intel it will also be used for other employment-related purposes. Q: Does Intel follow the Safe Harbor principles, as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC)?
A: Yes. Intel has self-certified for the Safe Harbor principles for off-line, online and manually processed customer personal data. The Safe Harbor agreement governs the data protection requirements for the personal information of European Union citizens, should Intel transfer such information to the United States. Q: Can I manage my electronic newsletter subscriptions online?
A: Yes, you may access and update your communication preferences by using one of the following methods: visit the specific product or service web site; visit the Intel Subscription Center; visit the Intel Profile Center; or contact us using the online form.
Q: What do you mean by "personalized" web site or newsletter?
A: A "personalized" web site or newsletter allows the end users to view certain information they have requested. Intel allows an individual to modify certain web sites or newsletters to their personal preferences based on personal information they have provided.
Q: Why does Intel have a Channel privacy notice?
A: Intel has created a Channel privacy notice to supplement the Intel Online Privacy Notice to address specific Channel privacy concerns. This privacy notice explains how we collect, use and safeguard the personal data we collect from Channel members when accessing the Intel® Reseller Center web sites located at http://www.intel.com/reseller/ and through any of the Intel Channel Membership Programs for system builders.
Q: Why does Intel have a Terms of Service statement for social media web sites?
A: The Terms of Service explain the specific privacy practices that are related to that campaign. For example, what personal information will be made publicly available.
