Enterprise Client Security and Manageability
Medical center boosts efficiency with remote support based on Intel® vPro™ technology. Located in the south of France between Marseille and St. Tropez, Toulon is a picturesque, historic city of about 160,000 as well as the principal port of the French Navy in the Mediterranean. The suburb of Solliès-Pont, to the northeast of the city, is known for its chateau and the figs grown in the area. In 1978, a local doctor founded a medical center in Solliès-Pont to provide high-quality medical care to the local population. The center has grown steadily and now supports around 13,000 patients.
Challenges:
• Enhance patient care. Ensure doctors can access the information required to deliver the best standard of care to the community.
• Protect sensitive data. Keep patient records secure and safe for the long term with regular PC updates and data backup.
• Keep doctors productive. Enable staff to work efficiently, unhindered by faulty equipment or IT issues.
Solutions:
• Expert consultancy. IT managed service provider OMI helped design and implement a more effective way to manage the center's PC fleet.
• Remote PC management. OMI technicians resolve IT issues and carry out maintenance remotely.
Impact:
• Faster treatment. Doctors have more reliable access to essential applications and records, enabling them to give the right diagnosis and treatment more quickly.
• Greater system integrity. Enhanced remote backup and support for the hardware used for billing means all patient information is stored and processed securely.
