Extended Battery Life for Ultrabooks™ and Other Mobile Computers (EBL)
Ultrabooks™ and other mobile consumption devices continue to raise consumer expectations for battery life. This track will give you information on the latest capabilities for current and future Intel® HD Graphics offerings. The sessions in the track include live demos, and will cover next generation Intel® Microarchitecture, code name Haswell and the hardware and software optimizations this technology will bring to applications in gaming, entertainment and various other categories across mobile, desktop, and workstation platforms. This track demonstrates how Intel® technologies combine to accelerate end user innovation and scale power, performance and functionality as new generations of solutions become available across the IA continuum, from handheld to cloud computing. Key technology discussions include: PCI Express* and USB* architectures and their derivatives, as well as Thunderbolt™ technologies.
Intel IT: Enterprise Innovation (IEI) Hear from Intel IT professionals on how they are addressing Enterprise IT challenges with new and innovative solutions. Intel IT Engineers and Architects will present detailed findings on Cloud, Ultrabook™ technology, and Mobile Application Development. Not only is the number of threats increasing, but innovative adversaries are diversifying their means and tools for exploiting vulnerabilities. At the intersection of these great forces, we need new ways for hardware and software to protect our global digital infrastructure. Intel® Solid-State Drive Technology (SSD)
Join the sessions in this track to find out where and why solid-state drive technology excels. Hear about system level optimizations required to maximize the performance and endurance of solid-state drives. The track also explores the continuous evolution of non-volatile memory technology and its future direction.
Technical Computing: Driving to Exascale Computing (TEC)
This track offers attendees an insight into Intel® technology that brings transformations in discovery and design for technical computing, heading for a path to Exascale. Key technology discussions include Intel® Xeon® processor solutions for HPC and workstations, Intel® Xeon® Phi™ processors for highly parallel workloads, Intel® Software Tools and Libraries, as well as future directions in heterogeneous computing products and programming models. We have introduced performance leading smartphone and tablet platforms. x86 is an incredibly scalable architecture and is capable of delivering a balanced product approach enabling a great performance driven user experience. Today’s consumers are embracing sleek touch devices that are always connected for consuming immersive content, browsing the web and taking photos – we have an aggressive roadmap and deep technology leadership to meet today’s consumer needs. If you are a developer looking for ways to capitalize on these usage models through our scalable architecture, please join our sessions. Ultrabook™ and the Transformation of the PC (ULB)
Ultrabooks™ are changing the expectations of "laptops" and leading a larger transformation of the Personal Computer. As we look to 2013 and beyond, there are many opportunities for system makers, component makers, and ecosystem partners to join this transformation. This track will provide details, beyond the keynotes, on Intel's vision for where Ultrabooks™ will go in 2013, plus provide technical deep dives into the challenges and opportunities in electrical, mechanical and software ingredients.
Wireless Innovation (WIR)
User expectations for how computers and other devices serve them for work and pleasure are creating new opportunities for wireless connectivity. At the same time, the challenges around form-factors, power consumption, performance, and secure connections are getting more difficult as well. This track will cover the innovative technologies under development at Intel to help the industry address these challenges.
