SPECapc* for LightWave 3D* v9.6

SPECapc* for LightWave 3D* v9.6 is performance evaluation software for systems running NewTek LightWave* 3D v9.6 software. LightWave* is a complete modeling, rendering, and animation solution used worldwide for visual effects in television, film, broadcast graphics, games, visualization, print, and web.

The benchmark, developed in cooperation with NewTek, provides realistic workloads that simulate a typical LightWave 3D workflow. It contains 11 datasets–ranging from 64,000 to 1.75 million polygons–and representing such applications as 3D character animation, architectural review, and industrial design. Scores for individual workloads are composited under three categories: interactive, render, and multitask.

The benchmark puts special emphasis on processes that benefit from multi-threaded computing, such as animation, OpenGL playback, deformations, and high-end rendering that includes ray tracing, radiosity, complex textures, and volumetric lighting.

1. Software en werklasten die in de prestatietests worden gebruikt, zijn mogelijk alleen geoptimaliseerd voor prestaties op Intel-microprocessors. Prestatietests, zoals SYSmark en MobileMark, worden gemeten met specifieke computersystemen, componenten, software, bewerkingen en functies. Wijziging van een van deze factoren kan ervoor zorgen dat de resultaten variëren. Het is raadzaam om andere informatie en prestatietests te raadplegen zodat u een weloverwogen aankoopbesluit kunt nemen op basis van uw evaluatie, inclusief de prestaties van het product in combinatie met andere producten.


2. Relatieve prestaties voor elke benchmark wordt berekend door het daadwerkelijke benchmarkresultaat van het eerste geteste platform te nemen en dit met een waarde van 1.0 te hanteren als een basislijn. Relatieve prestaties voor de overige geteste platforms zijn berekend door het daadwerkelijke benchmarkresultaat van het basislijnplatform te delen met elk van de specifieke benchmarkresultaten van de andere platforms en ze toe te wijzen aan een relatief prestatienummer dat overeenkomt met de aangetoonde prestatieverbeteringen.


3. De resultaten zijn gebaseerd op interne analyses van Intel en worden slechts ter informatie verstrekt. Verschillen in de systeemhardware, het softwareontwerp of de -configuratie kunnen de daadwerkelijke prestaties beïnvloeden.
