Intel® 3000 and 3010 Chipset

The Intel® 3000 and 3010 Chipsets are designed for use with Intel® Xeon® 3000 Sequence, Intel® Pentium® 4 processor 600 Sequence, Intel® Pentium® D processor 800 Sequence and 900 Sequence, and Intel® Celeron® D, in the LGA775 package in entry-level UP server platforms. The chipset contains two components: Memory Controller Hub (MCH) and Intel® I/O Controller Hub 7 (ICH7). The MCH provides the interface to the processor, main memory, PCI Express*, and the ICH7. The ICH7 is the seventh generation I/O Controller Hub and provides a multitude of I/O related functions.

Intel® 3000 Chipset supports one PCI Express x8 port. Intel® 3010 Chipset supports two PCI Express x8 ports or one PCI Express x16 port.

Les configurations correspondantes portent le logo « Processeur Intel® Pentium® 4 avec gestion de la Technologie Hyper-Theading » et sont équipées d’un chipset Intel® 925, 915 ou 910 Express (consultez la fiche technique du produit ou votre interlocuteur commercial). Les performances et les fonctionnalités varient (i) selon le matériel et les logiciels utilisés ; (ii) selon que le fabricant ou l’intégrateur a observé ou non les conditions de configuration propres à cette marque. 2. Le bénéfice de la technologie de stockage matriciel Intel® suppose la présence d'une carte mère dotée du contrôleur central des E/S Intel® Intel® 82801IR (ICH9R). En outre, le contrôleur RAID doit avoir été activé dans le BIOS et le pilote correspondant à cette technologie doit avoir été installé sur la configuration. 3. Le bénéfice de la technologie d’administration active Intel® AMT suppose la présence, sur la plate-forme concernée, d’un jeu de composants optimisé pour celle-ci, d’une interface et de pilotes réseau ainsi que le branchement du PC sur une source d’alimentation et sa connexion au réseau de l’entreprise. Sa mise en œuvre requiert un certain paramétrage de la part de l’acheteur et, le cas échéant, l’établissement d’un script avec la console d’administration ou une intégration plus poussée aux environnements de sécurité existants pour certaines fonctionnalités. Elle peut également nécessiter la modification de certaines procédures ou la mise en place de nouvelles. Pour les PC portables, la mise en œuvre de la technologie Intel AMT risque ne pas être possible ou bien ses fonctionnalités de se voir restreintes en cas de connexion sur un réseau VPN ou bien, en sans-fil, si l’ordinateur est alimenté sur batterie, s’il se trouve en mode veille (simple ou prolongée) ou encore s’il est éteint.
