The Intel® Core™ i7-900 desktop processor Extreme Edition series and Intel® Core™ i7-900 desktop processor series on 32-nm process are the next-generation desktop/workstation processors based on the Intel® Core™ i7-900 desktop processor series architecture, and using 32-nm process technology. The Intel® Core™ i7-900 desktop processor Extreme Edition series and Intel® Core™ i7-900 desktop processor series on 32-nm process upgrades Intel® Core™ i7-900 desktop processor series platforms, and provides the following new features and capabilities:
• Up to 6-core operation (up to 12 threads per socket with Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology (Intel® HT Technology))
• 12 MB of shared Last-Level Cache
• Intel® Advanced Encryption Standard New Instructions (Intel® AES-NI)
