About Intel Utah

Intel Corporation started in 1968 with an almost visionary concept: design and manufacture very complex computer chips. In 1971 Intel introduced the world's first microprocessor. This small silicon-based product not only changed Intel's future, it has changed the world. During these past decades, Intel has laid the groundwork for more than 80 percent of the world's personal computers. Today's most popular computers rely on Intel to provide the chips, boards and software that help keep the high-tech industry moving forward at a rapid pace.

Intel In Your Community - Utah Intel began operations in Utah in 1991. In October 2000, Intel completed construction of a four-story, 330,000 square-foot business office in Riverton City. The building sits on a 100-acre site. Intel's investment in the initial site development was approximately USD 70 million. Approximately 250 employees work at the Riverton facility.

Intel Human Resources is the major business group located in Utah. This includes U.S. payroll, Global Contact Center, hiring and relocation and employee expense reimbursement. Information technology and other administrative functions are also represented at the site.

Intel Utah makes a positive contribution to the surrounding community through positive economic impact, contributions and volunteer work.
