E–Community
We're looking for ways our expertise can build stronger communities. Perhaps it's bringing greater access to technology to underserved populations, increasing community interaction and democracy or driving economic growth through technology. In all cases, we're interested in working with your community to help the community help itself.
Education
How can technology support increased educational opportunity for those with limited access? Can technology make education more fun and meaningful? How can we empower families to better support their children's education? We are striving to identify ways to address these challenges and more in our education focus.
E–Health
We’re looking for a variety of challenges in the healthcare space that can be solved through technology. Telemedicine projects, aging in place, systemic disease monitoring are examples of projects we’re looking for.
Environment
How can we enhance sustainable logging practices in the rain forests of Bolivia? Can technology help create a sustainable balance between the human population and rare animal species? We are constantly seeking opportunities to employ our technology to benefit the environment.

Q & A
Does Community Solutions make community donations?
Influencing Intel technology sales is an important part of Community Solutions. We typically do not make significant Intel expenditures or major philanthropic contributions in our projects. Community Solutions brings technical expertise and some level of resources representing the Intel investment in the project. We expect community organizations to make similar, reciprocal investments. Community Solutions projects are public/private collaborations with all entities investing in the project's success. If you have a project idea, contact us.
How do you determine which projects to follow and which not to?
We use a series of questions that help us understand a project's community impact, novelty, viability, value to Intel, relative merit compared to other opportunities, cost, etc. We expect you to demonstrate some investment in the idea including appropriate levels of political or organizational leadership to support your project.

How are projects funded?
We typically work with communities or organizations that have identified a source of funding. Sometimes we can help identify a third party funding source. Intel will financially support projects in very special cases, where the novelty, applicability or relevance of a project to Intel technology is high. In some cases, our project management and project facilitation services are offered pro bono. Contact us for more information.

If you have a project idea that goes beyond commercial purposes, contact us. Your idea can have a commercial component but it must be focused on building a stronger community in some way related to the above focus areas.
Is this program related to Intel's World Ahead Program initiatives?
Community Solutions and the Intel World Ahead Program are both programs at Intel focused on using technology to enhance lives and make positive social impact. The Intel World Ahead program is a unique and comprehensive digital inclusion initiative that aims to enhance lives by accelerating access to uncompromised technology for everyone, anywhere in the world through accessibility, connectivity and education. Many Community Solutions projects fall within this framework; in addition we occasionally implement solutions that are outside of the Intel World Ahead Program scope.
