Philanthropic activities in the community

Education
In addition to the Intel® Higher Education Program, Intel supports school science contests and community programs that emphasize improving science, math, physics, and technology education. A perfect example of such activity is the "Talents of Nizhniy Novgorod Land" contest where, thanks to Intel's sponsorship, children from the villages and small towns are admitted into the prestigious Nizhniy Novgorod Sate University without completing entrance exams.

Grants & donation
Intel provides grants for non-governmental organizations (NGO) through programs that improve the quality of life in its communities. The program is focused on:

  • Services offered and the program's impact on the youth of our community
  • Diversity and multiculturalism
  • Cost-effectiveness of the program
  • Ability to be effectively measured and replicated
  • Employees' potential for involvement
Intel's employees volunteer to renovate playgrounds, plant trees, organize educational excursions and trainings for underserved youth, and much more. In 2006, grant programs were extended to NGOs from Nizhniy Novgorod, Novosibirsk, and St Petersburg. Additionally, Intel employees organized a toy and clothes drive for the benefit of local orphanages.
