Intel strives to improve the quality of life in the communities where we live and work by encouraging Intel employees to volunteer through the Intel Involved program. Find out more about what programs Intel supports near you, or learn more about Intel's grant guidelines.
The community relations team, a segment of Intel Oregon Corporate Affairs, communicates frequently with residential and business neighbors through neighbor forums and open houses to enhance relationships with our community. The team is the liaison between the community and Intel, answering questions from those that live near Intel while encouraging employees to be involved in the community through the Intel Involved programs.
Intel continues to focus its outreach on improving math, science, engineering and technology education. To this goal, Intel donated approximately USD 4.8 million to Oregon schools and community non-profit organizations in 2004 and USD 5.2 million in 2005.

| Intel Community Giving Campaign reached new heights in 2007 |
|
Raising the bar—it's what Intel Oregon employees do year after year. A new level of philanthropy was achieved through the 2007 United Way Community Giving Campaign. Intel Oregon employees raised a record-setting USD 2,660,269 for local charities.
The Intel Foundation matches employee donations 1:1, bringing the total contribution to USD 5,110,2694 for local charities. That was the largest contribution from any single company in Oregon in 2007.
"There's a profound sense of accomplishment and giving back when you look into the face of a person who will be helped by the dollars raised by our employees," says Laura Bain, Intel Corporation's Giving Campaign manager. "It's staggering how much our campaign raised this year for the community, but in the hearts of employees, it's never enough. They always want to find ways to do more."
Through the giving campaign, Intel employees are able to donate to any 501(c)(3) non–profit in the United States. The Intel Foundation matches each employee dollar donated with an additional dollar to the local United Way Community Impact Fund. Through this United Way fund, volunteers distribute money to more than 100 local agencies with programs that are meeting the greatest local health and human service needs.
