Intel Oregon strives to be a good environmental steward. Through reducing, reusing and recycling, Intel Oregon works to conserve natural resources and reduce the environmental burden of waste generation and emissions to the air, water, and land. Intel Oregon's community outreach also includes support for environmental programs.
One recipient of Intel's financial and volunteer support is the Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve in Hillsboro, a 710-acre wildlife preserve that serves as a tranquil sanctuary for people and animals.
In addition, through continuous improvement methodologies, Intel Oregon works to minimize the environmental impact of our manufacturing processes. An important part of Intel's corporate culture is that we're never satisfied with the status quo. We strive for excellence in our environmental health and safety (EHS) programs, but we know we can always improve. To ensure that we achieve those improvements, we set challenging goals for ourselves every year, and we make ourselves publicly accountable by reporting on their status.
