Community involvement

In line with our company value of 'Be an asset to our communities worldwide', Intel Ireland is committed to community service at both a local and national level. Our hope is to earn the support of the community by being responsible, concerned and involved.

We have a programme of activities to increase understanding with our neighbours in North Kildare. Representatives from the community are invited to participate on our Community Advisory Panel which consists of 17 community members who represent various local community groups and key interest areas in the wider community. For more information visit the dedicated Community Advisory Panel page.

Further enhancing our relationship with the local community, employees are encouraged to participate in the Intel Involved programme. The Intel Involved programme identifies community projects and facilitates employee involvement on a voluntary basis in community and educational projects.

We have also developed a special link between Intel and the River Rye, with Intel working with the Central Fisheries Board, University College Dublin and Leixlip Anglers Club to save a salmon and trout fishery from destruction and restore it to full health.

This year Intel was delighted to be recognized by at the Chambers of Commerce Ireland Presidents Awards. The awards, in partnership with Business in the Community Ireland (BITCI) and in association with the Department of Community Rural and Gealtacht Affairs, recognise organisations that make a positive contribution to the wider community.

We continue to publish our community newsletter 'Local Update' twice a year which we deliver to over 17,000 households in the local community. The newsletter features Intel business updates and information about our education, environment, community and work life effectiveness programmes. You can view the most recent editions below:
