Intel was founded in the Silicon Valley in 1968 by Gordon Moore and Robert Noyce. Andy Grove joined them immediately. The Santa Clara site is home to Intel's worldwide corporate headquarters, research and development teams working on innovative technologies for the future and state-of-the-art facilities for chip design testing, and fabrication.
