Intel has had a long commitment to supporting transportation alternatives for our employees.
For the last 25 years, Intel Folsom has been working to keep our air clean and our roads less clogged by encouraging Intel employees to use alternative transportation. In partnership with the 50 Corridor TMA and their Commuter Club, employees have access to commuting alternatives to single occupant vehicles. Alternative transportation includes carpooling using an on-line ride matching service, and programs that promote biking, walking, and the use of public transportation.
Intel provides subsidies to employees who use light rail and local bus service. Intel also provides shuttle service from the Folsom light rail station to the Intel Folsom campus.
Many of Intel's Folsom employees utilize the Rideshare programs making a significant contribution towards reducing air pollution and traffic levels in the greater Sacramento area.
