Intel is providing the source code for the Itanium™ architecture assembler (IAS) for use by software developers to port to their development platforms and to use for writing and assembling standard conforming Itanium architecture code. It is intended to serve as a reference implementation for the "Itanium Architecture Assembly Language Reference Guide." The "Itanium Architecture Assembler User's Guide" is the document that describes the usage of IAS.
