Take the Initiative with the Intel
®
Software Partner Program
You’ve enrolled in the Intel® Software Partner Program. Now, you might ask, how do I make the program work for me to get me the results I want?

It’s easier than you think. The key is Partner Initiatives.

These initiatives let you work right alongside Intel in the key growth markets we’ve identified in our research. Through these initiatives, you receive enhanced program benefits that help you extend your market reach and grow your business.
The Core of Your Program
When you join an initiative, you get access to benefits and activities related to each phase of your product development lifecycle—plan & strategize, develop & solve, and market & sell. These benefits include:
  • Market research and analysis on trends in your industry and target market segments.
  • Free trial of Intel’s comprehensive set of parallel programming products such as compilers, libraries, and analysis tools to start optimizing your software to run on Intel multi-core platforms.
  • Technical resources (including development systems, support and training) to help optimize products to run on Intel's latest platforms and to take advantage of new features of those platforms.
  • Sales and marketing resources to help you bring your finished products to market.
  • Focused sales campaigns designed to increase visibility, grow your customer base, and drive increased sales.
Choose from Current Partner Initiatives
So how do you choose which initiatives to join? By selecting the initiative or initiatives that best fit your business, products and target markets.

Here’s a brief rundown of our current Partner Initiatives and why you want to be part of them.
  • Gaming Initiative—It’s no secret that the PC is currently, and will continue to be, the platform of choice for online gamers worldwide. With an installed base of 207 million in 2005, the PC-based online gaming market is projected to grow to over 323 million by 2011, making it the largest segment of the gaming industry.1 This initiative provides you with tools to help you develop games for the latest Intel platforms and PC video-gaming technologies. You get help optimizing your games for multi-core, Intel® Centrino® mobile technology, Intel integrated graphics, and Intel SpeedStep® Technology. See prospectus [PDF 325KB].
  • Creative Media Initiative—The number of creative media software users is projected to grow from 9 million in 2005 to over 13 million by 2009, a 15 percent growth rate compared to 7 percent for creative media software revenue.2,3 This means you have an opportunity to grow your software revenue more quickly by motivating users to purchase more sophisticated applications. By participating in this initiative, you get assistance in developing and optimizing your video, audio, photo, and graphics applications for Intel's multi-core platforms. You also gain access to marketing and sales campaigns designed to grow your customer base. See prospectus [PDF 325KB].
  • Manageability Initiative—Currently, help desk and minor software updates are the leading causes of higher support costs in complex desktop PC configuration environments.4 Strong demand for solutions that feature integrated remote management and security functionality presents software developers with a tremendous business opportunity. Our Manageability Initiative helps you to plan, develop, market and sell applications that promote remote manageability and strengthened security, as well as deliver energy-efficient performance on desktop PCs. See prospectus [PDF 250KB].
  • Collaboration Initiative—Did you know collaborative software is already a USD 5 billion per year market, and projections indicate that by 2009 revenue will be over USD 6 billion worldwide?5 This initiative helps you tap into that market, developing and selling software applications that utilize Intel's multi-core platforms to deliver optimal performance for the convergence of voice, video, and data. See prospectus [PDF 278KB].

You may opt to join one or more of these initiatives, or participate in a technology-enabling project, such as multi-core.

I look forward to your participation in one or more of our initiatives. Keep an eye out for future initiatives as well—they’re on their way.
