INTEL CELEBRATES THE FESTIVE SEASON WITH ‘THIRUVONA SAMMANAM’ CAMPAIGN

Introduces a host of offers on purchase 3rd Generation Intel® Core Processor Ultrabook devices and PCs

INDIA, Cochin, August 9, 2012 – Intel India today announced its “Thiruvona Sammanam” campaign as a part of its month long Onam celebrations in Kerala. The campaign will launch on 13th August with the aim of increasing awareness about the benefits of technology and accelerating PC usage amongst the people in Kerala

Addressing a press conference in Cochin, Ramaprasad S, Director -MNC Accounts, Intel South Asia said, “Onam symbolizes auspicious beginnings and celebrates prosperity. At Intel, we believe that a PC is a transformational device and has the power to change the way we live and do business. Through our festive campaign we want to reach out to potential first time buyers in Kerala by educating them about the benefits of using a personal computer and exploring the wonders of the internet. We think that this festive season is the perfect time to invest in a PC and uplift one’s life through technology.

Integrated Campaign for Onam

This fully integrated campaign will comprise of several activation engines, weekend carnivals in association with OEMs, retail visibility, programs for Intel® Technology Providers (channel partners) and special offers for consumers. Intel will host ‘Festival Shopping’ and weekend ‘Smart Life’ carnivals along with PC makers across the state of Kerala to showcase a complete range of computing devices right from desktop, all-in-one, notebook and Ultrabook devices powered by 2nd Generation and 3rd Generation Intel Core processors. These carnivals will be held across Cochin, Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Kozhikode, Kannur, Allepy and Trishur.

Intel has had a long standing relationship with the channel community in Kerala through its Intel® Technology Partner program. During the festive season, Intel will conduct special meets and workshops for over 300 Intel Technology Partners in the state and will also send them regular electronic direct mailers and promotion mailers. Over 200 multi format road shows across 12 towns will also be conducted along with these Intel Technology Partners,

Special Consumer Offer- Chance to win an Ultrabook

Intel will launch a special consumer offer running from the 13th August to 15th September for consumers who purchase Ultrabook devices or PCs powered by 2nd Gen and 3rd Gen Intel Core processors from any of the Intel Technology Partners. Consumers can register their purchase on www.intel.in/festivalsofindia along with their original invoice copy to be eligible for a weekly draw and the grand bumper prize. Two weekly lucky draw prize winners will get a XOLO X900, the first Intel® Atom processor powered Smartphone and the bumper prize winner will get an Ultrabook powered by the 3rd Gen Intel Core processor.
