BEIJING, China, September 12, 2006 – Intel China today unveiled the Intel iPAT 3.0, the newest management platform solution for China’s iCafe industry. Along with the press conference, Intel also held a signing ceremony with its iPAT partner, ECS, and promoted ECS products based on iPAT technology.  Intel Vice President of Sales & Marketing Group and General Manager of Asia-Pacific, Ian Yang, Director of Intel China’s Software Center, Minerva Yeung, General Manager of the Motherboard & Graphic Card Business Unit at ECS, Kevin Yang, other industry representatives as well as members of the media all attended the press conference.
The Intel iPAT 3.0 is the first product to be developed in China for the Chinese and global markets. In 2005, after detailed market surveys and consumer research, Intel introduced the first generation of the Intel iPAT (version 1.0). After more than a year of collaboration with partners, the iPAT has received high praise from the iCafe industry and is used throughout China. While famous Chinese OEMs such as Founder and Inspur were each promoting iCafe models based on iPAT, ECS successfully released a motherboard that supported iPAT technology, forming a lasting partnership with Intel. iPAT products would go on to have successful launches in dozens of countries and regions around the world.
