Enable Technology Innovation in Israel

The Global Enterprise R&D Collaboration Framework

Hebrew

Intel Corporation and the Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS) in the Ministry of Industry, Trade & Labor has signed a joint agreement which aim to encourage creation of Industrial technological R&D cooperation between Intel and Israeli companies that develops innovative technologies and products, which support Intel roadmap.
See Call for Action from the Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS)..

The Framework:
The Framework provides a range of significant incentives, through which the OCS shares the high risks and costs inherent in high-tech development, with the partnering companies.

The Framework enables Israeli companies, cooperating with Intel, a funding grant of up to 50% of the approved expenses from the OCS and equivalent benefits from Intel to proof their technology.

The Program:
The Enable Technology Innovation In Israel Program offers both grant funding support from the OCS and service based offerings support from Intel to help facilitate development efforts through Proof of Concept (POC) that are directly related to enabling work for Intel technology.

The program encourages Innovation and Technology entrepreneurship in the Israeli Industry through funding and labor support to deliver Proof of Concept (POC) and feasibility studies.

Grant agreement requires three commitments:

  1. The Israeli Company commits to deliver POC per Intel expectation using provided resources in a prescribed amount of time (TBD btw parties).
  2. Intel commits to provide resources and other benefits per project needs.
  3. The Office of the Chief Scientist commits to provide a cash grant of up to 50% of approved budget of the Israeli company.

Schematic relations and commitments

Within the scope of these projects, each of the companies will benefit Intel from non-monetary assistance of substantial financial value, such as access to advanced facility for Proof of Concept work, professional orientation and direction (technological and business), Material and Test/Lab support, capability for technology feasibility and applicability as well as a link to the semi industry and OEM.

Each project that is initiated must lead to a technology POC and/or a development of a new technology product/process.

Intel’s TMG support within this agreement is unique in a sense that the matching contribution from Intel is based on professional labor, technology consultation, project management, materials, lab analysis, and advanced manufacturing capabilities.

Intel dedicates a program manager for each of the programs whom consolidate all the activities of the company with Intel.

Engagement Flow:

There are three critical boundaries to kick a joint project through that program: 1) Technology match/need at Intel
2) Intel’s TD Sponsor
3) Intel’s Resource
