The leading technology role of Intel as the Official Corporate Sponsor of BMW Sauber F1 Team has provided the foundation for an ultra-realistic racing simulation PC game called rFactor*.
Intel has exploited the unrivalled performance of its Core™2 Duo processor to develop the realism and responsiveness of rFactor* and give F1 fans a taste of premiere racing action. And the expertise of BMW Sauber F1 Team has been harnessed by leading racing simulation game design company, Image Space Incorporated (ISI), to give the game its authentic edge. It is as close to testing the performance of the BMW Sauber F1.06 car as F1 fans are ever going to get, along with a feel for the thrill of blistering speed and acceleration of its V8 engine.
Before the game was made available for download on the Intel @ BMW Sauber F1 Team web site, it was given the seal of F1 fan approval at a Nürburgring premiere for the European Grand Prix this May. It was also featured at subsequent Intel Pit Lane Park events throughout the 2006 season.
rFactor*’s Intel® technology foundation means its runs best with an Intel® Core™2 Duo processor E6600-based PC. Please note the minimum PC system requirements and the read me file, which outline the scope of what the game offers and what will happen once it is downloaded. An internet connection to buy and activate the game is also a requirement.
