Intel® Teach – Essentials

South Africa Curriculum

Print this page
Intel® Teach – Essentials is a professional development programme that helps educators learn how to effectively integrate technology into the classroom curriculum. It shows educators how to convert ‘ordinary’ computing tools into ‘extra-ordinary’ teaching and learning resources that can change the way students learn.

Overview

In South Africa, the Intel® Teach – Essentials curriculum was specially tailored by a team of researchers from The University of Pretoria and SchoolNet South Africa to align with the Revised National Curriculum Statements (RNCS) and meet the local needs of educators. From the very beginning, Intel has talked and listened to educators to understand what they really want and need from training. As a result, the curriculum is regularly updated to reflect their needs and incorporates feedback from programme participants and other practitioners in the field. SchoolNet ›*
